Mobile technology has become ubiquitous and created dramatic shifts in how people access and view information online. The most interesting statistic from 2014, is that 25% of smart phone users do not have a traditional desktop; meaning they are accessing all of their information from a phone or tablet. Therefore, all design and development of online content should consider the mobile user first, not as an afterthought.

The user interface (UI) describes the relationship between humans and machines. UI builds on basic design principles by focusing on the end users’ experience. The goal of UI Design, also known as UX Design, is to make a a design as easy, efficient, and user friendly as possible.
